Leading Lines…
They are lines that appear in a photograph that have been framed and positioned by the photographer to draw the viewer’s eye towards a specific point of interest. These lines often draw the viewer’s eye in a specific direction or towards a designated portion of the photograph.
- Here is a list of examples for Leading Lines:
- Roads.
- Fences.
- Window panes.
- Builds.
- Doorways.
- Bridges.
- Rivers.
- Shorelines
My First Attempt, Leading Lines:
I had finished the day at university, so I was on my way back home to the train station, and I noticed the light at the end of the track as I walked over the bridge to get to the other side. So the goal was to make sure I stood ready to catch the picture in the middle of the bridge. I began to think to myself about the lines and the positioning I was in for the picture after the photograph was shot, which I had taken from the image.
