  • My dad will be wearing his clothes sitting down with in his wheelchair
  • Sequence of costumes, from sports wear to smart a tier, me and my dad will wear the same outfit and we will also be modelling next to each other
  • My dad is going to wear clothes that support his comfort due to his illness

For mine and my Dad’s Fashion IDENTITY’s

I will be taking photographs of me in my clothes and then I will also be having my clothes hung up against the door, backdrops and I will also be using the backdrops for my photoshoots, then finally I can see myself with in the frame of the image of the photoshoot as i feel I will be able to see how the photographs have gone as I planned.

I’m also thinking of doing a wider range of photoshoots, all the way from sportswear clothing to suit wear with my dad modelling whiles wearing the clothing, I am also thinking of photographing myself in either the same clothes or even similar items.

I’m also going to be standing throughout my photoshoots, I will be modelling standing up, also as my dad won’t be able to stand for too long due to his illness so he will be sitting down in his portable wheelchair or even if he does stand up he’ll use his portable frame throughout the shoot he appears in.

PECHA KUCHA Presentation: Twenty One Slides

Slide One / Introduction

I’m ging to discuss the ordinary life of people’s identity within the everyday type of clothing, I’m very interested in the fabrics within the clothing people wear on a regular basis. I would also like to investigate on how everyone responds to other people’s designs, as I feel that everyone’s clothing choice is very fascinating to look deeper into their style of clothing.

Slide Two / Dad Image One

I started to take photographs of my dad in his bedroom as he spends his every day in there, as you can see, he has to use loads of pillows to help, due to his lifetime illness his bedroom is where he is most comfortable as he gets drained quite quickly, so I’m going to capture my dad within his clothing in the lounge on his good days.

Slide Three / Dad Image Two

Due to my dad’s life term illness, he wears a lot of soft clothing as it helps to feel comfortable as he gets irritated with the materials other clothing is made from. also, he was lightweight clothing as he suffers with dizziness so that is also why my dad uses a frame to help him walk around the house for support.

Slide Four / Dad Image Three

My dad’s frame he uses around the house is also lightweight as he is more able to move it around the house as of other one, he had was supportive, but it was so heavy for him, so this lightweight frame can we put down and he always has it the side of his bed. This is why I took an over shoulder shot of him holding on to it.

Slide Five / Dad Image Four

For this photograph of my dad, I had to be quick due to him not feeling 100% so I had to stand on the bed to capture this image of my dad standing up holding onto his frame, also the pyjamas my dad is wearing is really soft and light for him to be able to walk and move in without being uncomfortable.

Slide Six / T-shirt Image One

I wanted to see how the tee shirts would look on the back of my bedroom door, by being hung up instead of laying the clothing flat on the bed or even place on the floor, so I wanted to see how the tee shirts would turn out.

Slide Seven / T-shirt Image Two

During the shoots, I started to crease the T shirts so the text and the logo of the Under Armour has been combined it to each other, the lighting of the photographs makes the red more direct and more powerful to the photograph and the viewer, I’m going to explore more into depth on hanging clothes up.

Slide Eight / T-shirt Image Three

I was experimenting with lighting setups as I also wanted to see how I would capture the small symbols on the white T-shirts. The design of the door is also interesting as I wanted to explore the layers of textures within the frame of the photograph.

Slide Nine / T-shirt Image Four

For this photograph, I explored the textures within the tee shirt, so I started to add more creases into the tee shirt and then I had my camera set up to focus more on to that AXA.

Slide Ten / T-shirt Image Five

During the Nike t-shirt photoshoot, I wanted to see how much details I can capture with my lighting set up with it being turned down. I’ve also started to add extra creases to the t-shirt, also what stood out for me is the patterns within the surface of the design of the t-shirt.

Slide Eleven / Face Mask in Hands Image

Face masks have been a key part of the everyday fashion, so that’s why I wanted to capture myself wearing a face mask as I’m always wearing one to the shops and to work as its really Important to wear them whiles your near other people.

Slide Twelve / Face Mask on Face Image

When I was planning the photoshoot, I was looking through all my face masks as I’ve got a collection of different sizes, so the only face mask that actually fits my face properly is my university one as when I’m talking it doesn’t come down compared to the other ones and also the black face mask goes with any of my outfits, so this is why I’ve chosen this one for my photoshoot.

Slide Thirteen / Sven Bannuscher / Sitting Down Image

This time around, I want to experiment a lot more into depth compared to the last time, as I’ve created a range of text photographs, but I kept using the same size, scale throughout all of my images I’ve captured so I feel I need to start exploring how Sven shows text throughout his photographs.

Slide Fourteen / Emma Philipson / Sitting Down Image

I just love how Emma, has captured the colours within her work as some of the backgrounds of her photographs she’s used, because for me, I just really love how peaceful the colours are, also the colours of the backgrounds guide your eyes to the models clothing instead of the backgrounds of her photographs

Slide Fifth-teen / James Nadar / Sitting Down Image

I love how James has used the studio lighting and the natural light within his fashion photos as what stands out for me is the location and positions of the models being in is so powerful as you are drawn to the middle most of his pictures, and almost all of his work is of the rule of third, as most of the images are either focused or off centred.

Slide Sixteen / Business Casual Images

So, my intentions are to start to experiment and catch the models in the outfits they are currently wearing, which they will be going to wear throughout the photoshoot, I am also going to catch the various styles of outfits that people wear on a regular basis, the styles can be from sportwear all the way up to different types of suit and tie outfits.

Slide Seventeen / Formal Office Wear Images

I am going to be photographing my dad in his three-piece suit, as this is the only outfit, he feels most comfortable wearing as the materials are light for him to wear, also whiles my dad is wearing the suit for the formal office wear outfit. He will also be sitting down in his portable wheelchair as I don’t want my dad being unable throughout my photoshoots.

Slide Eighteen / Casual Wear Images

My plans for the casual wear photo shoot, I’ll be capturing my dad in his Hugo Boss tracksuit as the materials are very light and soft for his sensitive skin, also throughout all the photo shoots of my dad, as he’s going to be involved in as he will be sitting down due to him not being able to stand up for too long, I don’t want him collapsing. This is why I want him sitting down for all the shoots.

Slide Nineteen / Street Wear Images

for each of the different styles of clothing, I am going to be capturing myself and my dad wearing clothes that are suitable for each of the styles I have selected, and I will also be sitting down within the frame of the camera as I want to include the footwear for each of the style.

Slide Twenty / Sports Wear Images

For me sportswear is probably my favourite style of clothing because you feel more motivated, also what I like about sportswear is that it can come within a wide range of different type of fit from baggy sportwear all the way up to skinny fit, so for me sportswear covers a majority of sizes and fits to benefit everyone’s needs.

Slide Twenty-one / Casual Wear Image

I really enjoyed capturing myself throughout the casualwear photo shoots, as I find the casual clothing shoot more interesting as for me especially for the everyday as you feel more comfortable as you also feel more yourself as you’re more use to the items you wear on a regular basis. also, what I really like is the composition I’ve put myself in, within the frame of the camera as I really like how I’ve controlled the lighting to capture the skin tones of my face within the image.

Pecha Kucha Presentation Images

For my Pecha Kucha Presentation, I have used twenty images for all intents and purposes, I have also put them into a contact sheet, which for the most part is fairly significant.

PART TWO SUBMISSION

PHOTOGRAPHERS

Emma Phillipson

Fashion, editorial, commercial, corporate, advertisement, and promotional projects are all available to me. I can co-ordinate the entire output from idea to edit, thanks to a first-class degree in photography with honours and years of technical experience.

I kind of have chosen these photograph’s Emma actually has captured as I really like how she’s captured the models posing for the camera, or so they mostly thought. Also, what I really like literally is the colours of each image as they kind of are not the same as all as most of the colours generally are for all intents and purposes sharper compared to the candy pinks and the basically soft tones of kind of blue within the images, this literally is the reason why I specifically have chosen these photograph’s Emma generally has captured, demonstrating how also, what I really like literally is the colours of each image as they specifically are not the same as all as most of the colours literally are pretty much sharper compared to the candy pinks and the sort of soft tones of actually blue within the images, this specifically is the reason why I mostly have chosen these photograph’s Emma kind of has captured in a subtle way. The kind of other reason why I definitely have chosen these images for all intents and purposes is because I particularly wanted to generally capture my models sitting down in the photoshoots I’m going to definitely capture for identity, so the basically other reason why I specifically have chosen these images literally is because I really wanted to generally capture my models sitting down in the photoshoots I’m going to essentially capture for identity in a basically big way.

James Nadar

He has partnered with a variety of well-known brands and promotions. James’ knowledge of manufacturing, ideas, lighting, and architecture, combined with his distinct editorial style and edgy interpretations, enables him to conceptualise and construct a masterful picture that has won him recognition from both UK and foreign art buyers and editors.

He has established himself as a photographer who shoots classic film style imagery and video as a British photographer and image-maker with an avant-garde style of capturing. After eight years as a creative director/producer in a multimedia organisation, he brings a unique knowledge of all facets of production to his role as a photographer and director.

Having received training in classical analogue photography and printing techniques. Using his deep knowledge of these methods, James has developed his aesthetic and cinematic style. His effortless storytelling fashion style, coupled with his ability to catch seemingly intimate scenes in a polished and aspirational manner, offers his clients a strategic advantage in content formation.

He continues to cultivate his own perspective through continuing fashion editorial and experimental photography for a number of clients while working regularly in a commercial environment.

I particularly have chosen these photograph’s James for all intents and purposes has captured as I really like the use of for all intents and purposes natural lighting and the studio type of lighting used throughout the literally shoots of the models sitting down looking from side to side and directly at the camera, also what I actually find really interesting the textures within the backgrounds of the photoshoots as I’m sort of more drawn to the basically bright and dual colours of the sofas, c hairs etc, or so they basically thought. this for all intents and purposes is why I’ve chosen these images as I essentially want to really put my definitely own type of twist into my photoshoots with my models sitting down while shooting, demonstrating that I particularly have chosen these photograph’s, he has mostly has captured as I really like the use of fairly natural lighting and the studio type of lighting used throughout the specifically shoots of the models sitting down looking from side to side and directly at the camera, also what I really find really interesting the textures within the backgrounds of the photoshoots as I’m kind of more drawn to the actually bright and dual colours of the sofas, chairs etc in a pretty big way.

Sven Bannuscher

I’m a former hippie and foreign industry guru who specialises in artistic photography. But that’s me. I love doing both. I specialise in journal editorials, advertisements, corporate clients, and model collections when it comes to modelling. I’ve seen work featured in magazines all over the world and sold it in art galleries.

In terms of sales, I manage global operations for one of the world’s fastest-growing market intelligence firms, where I managed the company’s growth into Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. On a macro scope, I’m interested in learning about the economic situation in global markets. On a micro level, I ensure effective operations by improving market processes and providing thoughtful leadership. I’m also in charge of strategic planning and market studies.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance and previously worked for three years in sports and job counselling in a psychiatric facility. On a personal level, I’m a really laid-back and straightforward individual. I enjoy travelling and just enjoying a “Aloha” lifestyle. In case you hadn’t guessed, I’m German, and Hawaii is my favourite spot on the planet.

I particularly have chosen these photographs Sven actually has captured as I really like how he kind of has captured the models sitting down in a range of different types of ways of comfort and what I also like about these images mostly is the way he captured the textures from the checked seat to the brick work in the background of the women wearing for all intents and purposes black leather pants, or so they basically thought. The reason why I essentially have chosen particularly is because I really wanted to essentially see how Sven actually captures the models sitting down and looking in different directions of the frame of the image, particularly further showing how i generally have chosen these photographs Sven essentially has captured as I really like how he for the most part has captured the models sitting down in a range of different types of ways of comfort and what I also like about these images literally is the way he captured the textures from the checked seat to the brick work in the background of the women wearing actually black leather pants, definitely contrary to popular belief.

Styles:

BUSINESS CASUAL:

Business casual is an ambiguously established Western dress code for white-collar workplaces that is commonly called casual wear but with smart elements of a proper lounge suit from conventional informal wear.

LOUNGER-WEAR:

Nightwear, also known as sleepwear or nightclothes, is clothing intended for use while sleeping. The type of nightwear worn varies with the seasons, with warmer types worn in cooler weather and vice versa. In addition to their practical functions, certain designs or fabrics are chosen to be physically pleasing or erotic.

SMART CASUAL:

Smart casual is an ambiguously defined Western dress code that includes smart components of a proper lounge suit from conventional relaxed wear, but is usually called casual wear.

SPORTS WEAR:

Sports fabrics are technical fabrics that help the wearer stay warm when exercising. The type of fabric required would be determined by the exercise’s and activity’s severity. Yoga clothes should be made of materials that have a lot of flexibility to allow for easier movement, which means it would most likely be knitted.

Long-distance running garments with outstanding moisture wicking properties can keep the wearer cool by allowing sweat to migrate from the inside to the outside of the fabric. Winter or snow sports value garments should be made of breathable materials with superior insulating properties.

CASUAL WEAR:

With the increase in popularity of spectator sports in the late twentieth century, a lot of fitness attire, such as jogging suits, running shoes, and track apparel, has inspired casual wear. Casual wear requires work clothes used for manual labour. Denim, denim, jersey, flannel, and fleece are some of the most common fabrics used in casual clothes. Velvet, chiffon, and brocade are often synonymous with more formal wear.

Although utilitarian costume is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about casual wear, there is also a wide spectrum of flamboyance and theatricality. Punk fashion, as well as fashion from the 1970s and 1980s, are excellent examples. During the 1980s, Madonna popularised lace, makeup, and makeup in casual clothing. Hip hop fashion in the 1990s emphasised intricate jewels and expensive fabrics, which were worn with sports gear and work clothes.

Clothing Meaning:

Clothing is something that is worn on the body. Clothing is usually made of cotton or textiles, but has often contained animal skin or other thin sheets of materials sewn together over time. Clothing is a characteristic of all human cultures and is often limited to human beings.

Clothing Brands:

REASON WHY I HAVE SELECTED TO USE THESE BRANDS THROUGHOUT MY PHOTOSHOOTS…

Hugo Boss

Hugo Boss AG, also known as BOSS, is a luxury fashion house based in Metzingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Clothing, shoes, boots, and fragrances are all sold by the brand. Hugo Boss is one of Germany’s most successful fashion brands, with worldwide sales of €2.9 billion in 2019. Its portfolio is part of the MDAX index. Several scandals have engulfed the firm, including its position on importing cotton from Xinjiang, which is accused of exploiting Uyghur slave labour.

Hugo Boss founded the company in 1924 and started by manufacturing general purpose clothes. As the Nazi Party rose to power in the 1930s, Boss started producing and selling Nazi uniforms. Boss would later provide the German government with uniforms for groups like the Hitler Youth and the Waffen-SS during World War II, resulting in a significant increase in revenue.

Hugo Boss began to change its attention from uniforms to men’s suits after World War II and the founder’s death in 1948. The brand went public in 1988 and launched a fragrance range the next year, followed by diffusion lines for men’s and women’s wear in 1997, a full women’s range in 2000, and children’s apparel in 2006–2007, and has since grown into a major global fashion house. It had over 1,113 convenience stores around the world as of 2018.

Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger is an American premium clothing company that manufactures clothes, boots, shoes, fragrances, and home furnishings. It was formerly known as Tommy Hilfiger Corporation and Tommy Hilfiger Inc. The brand’s merchandise is available in department stores and over 2000 free-standing retail stores in over 100 countries, and it was established in 1985. Apax Partners, a private equity group, purchased the company for $1.6 billion in 2006. PVH Corp. (then Phillips-Van Heusen) purchased the firm in March 2010. In July 2014, Daniel Grieder was elected CEO, while Tommy Hilfiger, the company’s founder, remains the company’s principal director, managing design teams and overseeing the entire creative process. In 2013, the company produced $6.4 billion in retail revenue globally, and $6.7 billion in 2014. Tommy Hilfiger, the more luxurious of PVH’s preppy-styled brands, is positioned above Izod in the lineup.

Tommy Hilfiger’s modelling career began in 1968, when he co-founded People’s Place, a clothes and record store in upstate New York. He supervised the growth of the company into a chain of ten stores, using $150 he had saved from working at a gas station as startup capital. People’s Place filed for bankruptcy in 1977, after its early popularity. Hilfiger relocated to New York City in 1979 to seek a career as a fashion designer, posing with a number of brands including Jordache Denim.

He met Mohan Murjani, an Indian textile magnate who decided to start a men’s clothing line, in the early 1980s. In 1985, with Murjani’s encouragement, Hilfiger unveiled his first signature line, which featured modernised iterations of classic preppy classics including button-down shirts, chinos, and other. The company’s subsequent collections would retain the relaxed and youthful attitude of these early designs. The new clothing brand launched with a high-profile publicity campaign that featured a massive billboard by advertiser George Lois in Times Square.

In 1989, the Tommy Hilfiger brand quit Murjani International, with Silas Chou receiving financial assistance instead. Lawrence Stroll and Joel Horowitz, both former Ralph Lauren executives, were recruited as executives of Tommy Hilfiger, Inc., a recently founded corporation that initially focused on casual male sportswear.

Adidas

Adidas AG (German; stylized as adidas since 1949) is a German multinational company that produces and produces sneakers, clothes, and accessories. It was founded and is headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany. It is Europe’s biggest sportswear retailer and the world’s second largest after Nike. It is the parent firm for the Adidas Empire, which comprises the Reebok sportswear company, 8.33 percent of Bayern Munich, and Runtastic, an Austrian fitness technology company. Adidas reported €21.915 billion in sales in 2018.

Adolf Dassler formed the business in his mother’s home in 1924, and his older brother Rudolf followed him under the name Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (“Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory”). Dassler played a part in the creation of spiked running shoes (spikes) for a number of activities. He moved from a previous iteration of hard metal spikes to canvas and rubber to increase the consistency of spiked athletic boots. Dassler convinced American sprinter Jesse Owens to participate in the 1936 Summer Olympics with his handcrafted spikes. Following a split of the brothers’ relationship in 1949, Adolf founded Adidas and Rudolf founded Puma, which became Adidas’ corporate rival.

The three stripes are Adidas’ identity symbol, having been used as a publicity tactic on the company’s apparel and shoe styles. Adidas purchased the branding from Finnish sporting firm Karhu Sports in 1952 for the equivalent of 1,600 euros and two bottles of whisky, and it became so famous that Dassler dubbed the company “The three stripes company.”

Timberland

Timberland LLC, also known as “Timbs,” is an American manufacturer and retailer of outdoor clothes, with an emphasis on boots. VF Corporation is the company’s owner. Timberland footwear is sold to those who like to spend time outside. Clothing, watches, glasses, shades, and leather products are also sold by the brand.

The corporate offices of Timberland are in Stratham, New Hampshire. Timberland also has branches in other areas of the globe, including Australia. Timberland Company receives leather shells from the Horween Leather Company.

Jeffrey Swartz was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the business and brand that his grandparents, Nathan Swartz, uncle, and father had founded in 1998.

The group purchased Howies, a Welsh clothing company, in February 2007. Timberland reached a binding acquisition deal with VF Corporation in June 2011 for $43 per share, or around $2 billion. VF bought Howies in 2012 and sold it to its management.

Nike

Nike, Inc. (/naki/ or /nak/)[note 1] is an American multinational company that designs, develops, manufactures, and markets clothing, garments, equipment, accessories, and services around the world. The corporation is based in the Portland metropolitan area, near Beaverton, Oregon.

The Nike brand was previously estimated at $29.6 billion in 2017. Nike was ranked No. 89 on the Fortune 500 list of the biggest companies in the United States by gross sales in 2018.

In addition to producing sporting clothing and supplies, Niketown is a chain of discount stores. Nike sponsors a variety of high-profile athletes and sporting teams around the world, and the trademarks “Just Do It” and the Swoosh logo are well-known.

ASOS

ASOS plc (/ess/ AY-soss) is a luxury and beauty retailer based in the United Kingdom. The business was founded in London in 2000 and caters mainly to young adults. The website offers clothes and accessories from over 850 brands, as well as its own line, and ships to all 196 countries from fulfilment centres in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe.

Since it only sold imitations of clothes from other mediums (for example, Brad Pitt’s red leather jacket from the 1999 film Fight Club), ASOS was formerly known as AsSeenOnScreen with the tagline “Buy what you see on film and TV.” However, it no longer has that sense and is more commonly stylized as an uppercase acronym, despite the fact that the company’s name is in lower case.

ASOS has branches in Berlin and Birmingham, as well as a base in Camden Town’s Greater London House. Their primary distribution facility, which employs 3,500 employees, is in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, as of 2013. The customer service department is located in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, near Watford.

The Danish company Bestseller A/S, owned by the business magnate Anders Holch Povlsen, is ASOS’ largest stakeholder, with a 26% share.

On January 18, 2021, ASOS plc sent an offer to Deloitte to purchase the failed Arcadia Group’s Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge, and HIIT brands. ASOS was declared as the winner on February 1st, after competing against Frasers Group, Next and Davidson Kempner consortiums, as well as Authentic Brands and JD Sports. On February 4, 2021, the transaction was concluded, with the labels, £300 million in stock, and 300 Arcadia employees moving to ASOS. The related stores were not part of the auction and would be shut down.

Clothing Materials:

SILK: Silk is a raw protein fibre that can be spun into textiles in certain ways. Silk is a protein fibre made primarily of fibroin, which is formed by some insect larvae to form cocoons. The most well-known silk comes from the cocoons of mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori larvae raised in captivity.

WOOL: Wool is a textile fabric made from sheep and other species, such as goats’ cashmere and mohair, muskoxen’s qiviut, bison’s hide and fur garments, rabbits’ angora, and camelids’ other forms of wool. Wool is mostly made up of protein and a small amount of lipids. Wool is mostly made up of protein and a small amount of lipids.

LINEN: Linen is a cloth manufactured from the flax plant’s fibres. Linen is more flexible and absorbent than cotton, and it dries faster. It is one of the oldest fabrics in the world. Linen is cool to wear in hot weather and is prized for use in clothes because of these properties.

COTTON: Cotton is a smooth, fluffy staple fibre that grows in a boll, or defensive case, around the seeds of cotton plants in the genus Gossypium, which belongs to the Malvaceae family of mallows. The fabric is almost exclusively made up of cellulose. Cotton bolls can help seed dispersal in natural environments.

VISCOSE: Viscose is a semi-synthetic rayon fabric made from wood pulp that is used as a silk alternative because of its similar drape and smooth feel. The word “viscose” refers to the wood pulp solvent that is used to make the cloth.

POLYESTER: Polyester is a type of polymer with an ester functional group in each repeat unit of the main chain. It more commonly refers to a form of plastic known as polyethylene terephthalate.

Editorial Fashion Photography:

Fashion editorials often contain full-page images of a particular theme or idea, artist, model, or other single subject. Usually, they are fashion photos that convey a storey or indicate that the picture has a backstory. They can also be used as a photo essay to highlight a storey that has yet to be published.

OTHER Examples of Editorial Photographs…

Photoshop Software

Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics editor for Windows and macOS developed and released by Adobe Inc. It was first designed by Thomas and John Knoll in 1988. Since then, not only in raster graphics editing, but also in visual art in general, the app has become the industry standard. As a result, the software’s name has become a common trademark, leading to its use as a verb (for example, “to photoshop an image,” “photoshopping,” and “photoshop contest”), despite Adobe’s objections.

Photoshop supports filters, alpha compositing, and many colour templates, including RGB, CMYK, CIELAB, spot colour, and duotone, and can edit and compose raster images in several layers. To support these features, Photoshop uses its own PSD and PSB file formats. Aside from raster graphics, Photoshop has limited capabilities for editing and rendering text, vector graphics (particularly by clipping paths for the latter), 3D graphics, and video. Plug-ins are applications that run within Photoshop to incorporate new or improved functionality. They are created and distributed independently of Photoshop.

Initially, Photoshop’s naming system was based on version numbers. Every new version of Photoshop was designated with “CS” plus a number beginning in October 2002 (following the launch of Creative Suite branding); for example, the eighth major version of Photoshop was Photoshop CS, and the ninth was Photoshop CS2. Standard and Extended versions were available for Photoshop CS3 through CS6.

Photoshop’s licencing scheme was changed to a software as a service leasing model with the launch of the Creative Cloud branding in June 2013 (and the upgrade of the “CS” suffix to “CC”). Photoshop used to come packaged with other programmes including Adobe ImageReady, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Device Central, and Adobe Camera RAW.

Adobe also produces and publishes Photoshop Components, Photoshop Lightroom, Photoshop Express, Photoshop Fix, Photoshop Draw, and Photoshop Mix in addition to Photoshop. Adobe has now launched a complete version of Photoshop for the iPad as of November 2019, and although it is initially limited, Adobe plans to add more features to Photoshop for iPad in the future. They are collectively known as “The Adobe Photoshop Family.”

Editing Software: Photoshop

These methods, I will be using in the editing process. The reason for this is because I want to incorporate all of my photographs, that I have captured to create a style more into depth which will be a editorial type of style throughout my project.

Working Title: Identity / Outfitters

Fashion Outfitters:

(Streetwear, Sports Wear, Formal Office Wear and Business Casual)

Project concept:

I’m going to discuss the ordinary life of people’s identity with in the everyday type of clothes, I’m very interested in the fabrics within the clothing people wear on a regular basis. I would also like to investigate on how everyone responds to other people’s designs, as I feel that everyone’s clothing choice is very fascinating to look deeper into, especially as I feel that the daily basis type of clothing is perfect for further photographic exploration.

Project Methodology:

Throughout my chosen idea, I’m going to pursue a broader range of various styles of decoration, backgrounds and compositions. I’m going to work out my project in my bedroom and my family’s lounge, I’m also going to use my space as my studio because I’m not actually in a position to have access to the studios open to us. The subject matter of my project will be how we present ourselves in the clothes that we chose as style, as well as all the other types of clothing that people wear on a regular basis or even at business meetings. I am l still be posing for my photoshoots; I’ll be modelling while standing because my father won’t be able to stand for long due to his condition, so he’ll be seated in his portable wheelchair or, if he can stand, he’ll use his portable frame throughout the shoot.

Research connections and influences:

Sven Bannuscher / Fashion and Editorial:

During my previous photo shoots, where I caught a subject and attached text to the picture, as I found adding a text that was really fascinating when you start investigating the various styles of lettering, form, sizes, as well as the text that I find more eye-catching as they use large, bold, capitals to make their words more impactful.

This time around, I want to experiment a lot more into depths compared to the last time, I’ve created a range of text work, but I kept using the same size, scale throughout all my images I’ve captured so I feel I need to start exploring how Sven shows words throughout his photographs.

Emma Phillipson / Fashion and Beauty:

I’ve taken images of models posed in a number of different ways, so it’s very fascinating for me to capture the body language models in the photo shoots we’ve set up. My previous shoots were more focused on the models faces than on the time I tried to see how they would respond if I started to say anything to them.

So, my intentions are to start to experiment and catch the model’s outfits what they are going to be wearing, but I’m also going to catch the various styles of outfits that people wear on a regular basis so that they can be from sportwear all the way up the suit and tie outfits.

I just love how Emma has captured the colours with in her work as some of the backgrounds of her photographs she’s used, because for me, I just really love how peaceful the colours are, also the colours of the background guide your eyes to the models clothing instead of the backgrounds of her photographs.

James Nader / Editorial Fashion:

I love how James used the studio lighting and the natural light in his fashion photos as the thing that stands out for me is the the location of the models is powerful as you are drawn to the middle on most of his pictures, and almost all of his work is a grid of thirds, as most of the images are either focused or off centre.

For my idea, I’m going to start exploring the path of light as I feel a huge downgrade to my portraits as I need to change significantly so that time is around, I’m going to start aiming my light from a higher stage.

Also, for this project, I’m only going to have two models for my fashion images. I’m going to be one of the models I enjoy modelling, but at the same time, I find it controlling to be the camera frame as I know what I really want from the shoot, I’m going to have a different type of clothes, so I’m going to choose either me or my dad.

Themes:

  • Fashion Outfits (Displayed)

My Identity throughout my wardrobe

I will be capturing myself in my clothes, then I will also be having my clothing hung up against the door, so I’ll be doing two types of shoots from me in the clothing and then having the clothing hung up flat and lastly, I will also be using the backdrops for my photoshoots

  • Fashion Outfits (Worn / Advertisement / Editorial)

My Dads Identity throughout his clothing

Also, as my dad won’t be able to stand for too long due to his illness so he will be sitting down in his portable wheelchair or even if he does stand up, he’ll be able to use his portable frame throughout the shoot, when he appears within the frame of the camera.

Test T-Shirt Photoshoot

For this photoshoot, I wanted to see how I could capture the T-shirt’s and shorts sets with in the frame of the camera as I wanted to see a wide selection of crease and textures with in the image.

These are the only four photos I was aiming for and the only ones I got right as planned because I wanted to see the textures within the T-shirts from the crease all the way up to the text within the fabrics, but what I really like about the photos is the lighting because I wanted the focus point of the image to focus more on the T-shirts.

Identity Photographs

Dad’s Identity Photoshoots:

Here are 100 photographs from my identity photoshoots that stand out to me; these are the pictures I’ll be editing because I want to experiment with a variety of strategies using the tools I’ll be using and the filters available.

For my first photoshoot with my father, he will be sitting in his portable wheelchair because he won’t be able to stay for long. I’ve shot my father in the Business Casual Outfit, but I’ve also taken pictures of the products with my dad in them because I wanted to see if they will look flat instead of on anyone.

I tried to catch the action inside the images from my father’s gestures, as well as the sorting out of the clothes from straightening the sleeves and laces on the Hugo Boss white shoes. He is more at ease in casual clothing because the fabrics do not irritate his skin.

The model’s movements add interest to the shoot; I particularly enjoyed filming my father in I bis lounge wear because this is the outfit he wears on a regular basis because the fabrics aren’t as bulky and uncofjrmtable for him. This was my last shoot with him for the day, as you can see, he was starting to feel tired, so I had to be quick with the photos so he didn’t get as weak as he has to walk upon the stairs.

The smart casual wear was more fun to photograph because there were more things for the model to use in the photoshoot, the lighting set up was perfect for all of the images, I took with my father. I’m very happy with how the pictures came out because that’s what I was looking for as that was my aim throughout my planning.

During a couple of the photoshoots, my father was using his e pen, and the smoke added an odd impact to the photographs, so I asked him if he could direct his head to a large range of differentials for the smoke to go in, as I decided to concentrate more on the clothes the model was wearing, and the smoke bypassed the model’s face.

My Identity Photoshoots:

I’ve only chosen 60 photographs from all of my photoshoots that were successful because they were the only ones that stood out to me, and the lighting, textures, and perspectives of the modelling positioning required some editing so I could edit the model’s canvases to put the model in the centre of the image’s frame.

This is my informal attire. Throughout the two photoshoots, I wore a red Tommy Hifligers puffer jacket and t-shirt; the two pieces were two shades of red, one darker and the other brighter. This photoshoot was a little different this time because I was the model and instead of standing behind the camera, I was in the frame of the shot this time. The photographs are slightly off-center, but with a little tweaking, the canvas sizing can be fixed. I’ve also used a wireless remote for the photoshoots I’ve been involved in, so I’m. able to capture myself in the clothing style I’ve chosen to photograph.

I wore one of my father’s outfits for this photoshoot, which is often considered as casual wear, but I had to be quick to capture the photographs of me in my father’s clothing because also my father’s trainers were slightly too short for me because he’s a size UK 12, as I am a size UK 13 in footwear, so I had to capture the images I wanted to shoot whiles wearing my father’s clothes for this shoot.

I brought these new clothes in the new year and I haven’t wore them, so I decided to use this out fit for the Office Wear Shoot. For my identity I’m always wanting to dress smartly even if I’m going to the shops. I just feel more comfortable dressing in a certain and it also goes with work as sometimes when I’m wearing clothes to places I feel totally as it’s not as it could be a totally different item of clothing I’ve never wore or considered wearing. So for me I enjoyed shooting my self for this photoshoot.

For the smart casual wear shoot, I captured my self without the bomber jacket from ASOS and then I captured wearing the bomber as I wanted to test out the details the camera was picking up within the images from a plain white turtle long sleeve T-shirt and then I also wanted to see the difference between the lighting from the two shoots. I really like how I’ve captured my self centre of the frame of the canvas.

My sports wear shoot, came out as I have planned as I wanted to focus more on the the white Liverpool Fc short sleeve T-shirt. As I wanted to focus on the crease and details within the T-shirt as I wanted to see the numerous tones of the shadows within the image and I also wanted the lighting setup to pick up on the black Nike Air 97 trainers with the light source reflecting on the surface of the trainer it gives off a type of mysterious type of look to the footwear.

Identity Edited Photographs

Dad’s Identity Edited Photographs:

Throughout the colour images, I’ve used a variety of various methods. These methods, which I’ve used inside the programme photoshop, adjust the light and dark tones while they render chosen colours stick out. For me, I’d like a smaller amount of colour to stand out opposed to a number of various colours within the image’s picture.

I used the black and white filter for my father’s identification photos because I wanted to see how well the black and white filter worked in bringing out the colours in the model’s face and the clothes she was wearing during the shoot. I used five techniques to create the black and white photographs because I wanted to see if I could manipulate the lighting, details, and backgrounds using the canvas frame. Brightness and Contrast, Curves, Exposure, Levels, Hue and Saturation are the five tools I used in the black and white editing process. These are all effective in various ways for me, but curves give the picture a sharper effect.

My Identity Edited Photographs:

In order to monitor the backgrounds in my identity edited pictures, I’ve begun to focus on the colours and textures inside the portraits of me in my clothes for the selected number of fashion trends I’ve wanted to work with during the photoshoots.

HUGO BOSS

Hugo Boss Font: Walbaum Pro 12pt Bold

“Walbaum Pro 12pt Bold” is the font used in the Hugo Boss logo. This font is designed by Carl Crossgrove, Charles Nix, Juan Villanueva and published by Monotype.

Carl Crossgrove

He has been obsessed with letters since he learned to read at the age of two. Born in Mexico, Crossgrove grew up in central Connecticut. He experimented with letters throughout his childhood, drawing chalk alphabets on the driveway and cutting giant letters out of paper.

Charles Nix

He is a Creative Type Director, designer, typographer and educator. … He has taught dozens of courses in graphic design, typography and publication design, and recorded a number of type design courses for LinkedIn Learning.

Juan Villanueva

He is a Type Designer at the Monotype Studio in New York City. His contributions to the Monotype Library include designs such as Walbaum and Sagrantino. He’s worked on custom typefaces for clients including Tencent Sans, Ricky Zoom, and multiple Google Noto fonts.

TOMMY HILFIGER

Tommy Hilfiger Font: sans serif

Tommy Hilfiger is easily recognized by their blue, white and red rectangular logo, as well as their logotype set in a sans serif named Gill Sans. Gill Sans is a commercial typeface designed by Eric Gill.

Eric Gill

Gill Sans is based on Edward Johnston’s 1916 “Underground Alphabet”, the corporate font of London Underground. As a young artist, Gill had assisted Johnston in its early development stages. In 1926, Douglas Cleverdon, a young printer-publisher, opened a bookshop in Bristol, and Gill painted a fascia for the shop for him in sans-serif capitals. In addition, Gill sketched an alphabet for Cleverdon as a guide for him to use for future notices and announcements. By this time Gill had become a prominent stonemason, artist and creator of lettering in his own right and had begun to work on creating typeface designs.

asos

asos: sans-serif

The e-store’s logotype is executed in all the lowercase letters of a bold sans-serif font, which is close to the Helvetica Family typeface. The letters are “glued” to each other and create a sense of a single element. The nameplate is perfectly balanced and its smooth lines evoke a sense of luxury and style.

Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC Font is → Albertus

Adidas

Adidas Font is → ITC Avant Garde. Logos.

Timberland Font

The font used for Timberland logo is very similar to Windsor SB xbold Condensed, which is a display serif font designed by Eleisha Pechey and published by Scangraphic.

Add text to the photographs

I choose two of the three photographers to use as inspiration because I needed to use text in my edits. The text I’ll be applying over the visual image I’ve taken will be the labels of the clothes I’ll be wearing in the photoshoots that I’ve scheduled, which will range from sportswear branded by Liverpool FC to formal casual wear branded by Asos.

Fonts for Edited Images, ADD Text to the Images:

TOMMY HILFIGER

Gill Sans / Regular = CAPITAL LETTERS

I wanted to make sure I was using the right font when applying text to the image and I was including the branding into the images, so I want to make sure the TOMMY HILFIGER is accurate in the text editing process.

asos

Helvetica / Bold Oblique = low case letters

For my photographs to include the branded name over the photos that I’ve taken, I want the text to be as relevant as the photographic image. The font for the branded name is really interesting and very unique as it makes it more effective as it standouts.

Added text to the images

On any of the photographs I’ve applied text to, I didn’t want the font to be as sharp as I needed the viewer to be able to see through the text as I wanted the viewer to be able to concentrate on the picture within the frame of the camera. I have used opacity because I didn’t want the font to be as sharp as I wanted the viewer to be able to see through the text as I wanted the viewer to be able to focus on the image within the frame of the camera.

Further Add Text to the photographs:

Dad with added text

I”ve only selected seven photographs, that I generally have captured of my dad being the model and also with him wearing his very own type clothing styles for the outfits which for all intents and purposes was mostly included within a numerous of photoshoots, or so they mostly thought. Also for me I definitely wanted to actually explore the space around the models as I for the most part wanted to mostly fill up the space within the foreground, background and even the mid-ground of the canvas, definitely contrary to popular belief. the reason why I’ve literally include text into the frame actually is because the photographers who really have inspired me used works within there pieces of work they’ve created so I mostly wanted to really see if i mostly was able to for the most part create a piece of work using techniques of what they’ve used for there photographs and that’s why I’ve for all intents and purposes added text to the image in a subtle way.

Final IDENTITY Contact Sheet

Final IDENTITY Contact Sheet

Look book

A lookbook is a collection of photographs compiled to show off a model, photographer, style, stylist, or clothing line. Usually, bloggers or vloggers will “model” fashionable looks for that month or season. This gives viewers ideas on how to style outfits, or to show what the latest fashions are.

For the narrative portion of my project, I mostly wanted to basically look at a variety of different generally look book formats because I basically believe it would essentially be fairly more really effective as a digital illustration rather than a printout, and I also essentially believe that getting digital copies would literally allow me to particularly pull it up anytime I wanted, so that”s why I’m looking at examples of different templates ranging from modelling to fashion, generally contrary to popular belief.

Template sites:

I wasn’t kind of sure the site I could kind of choose for my final piece, but I really decided to use the three web sites I’d been looking at and that’s why I’ve used the sites above in a particularly big way. The website that caught my eye generally was http://www.freepik.com because I particularly liked the look of the layout and setup, which allows you to mostly roam freely around the page, but also which basically was really useful really was the categorising system in a generally big way.

PART THREE SUBMISSION

IDENTITY / OUTFITTERS FINALS

I’ve decided to do the everyday style of clothing because I want to focus on people’s identities in the clothes they wear on a daily basis, when everyone wears clothes that make them feel more comfortable and themselves, which is very important. The other reason is that I’m going to discuss the ordinary life of people’s identities in the everyday kind of clothing, which I’m very interested in. I’d also like to see how people react to other people’s designs, since I think everyone’s clothing choices are interesting to explore further, particularly because I believe that everyday clothing is ideal for further photographic discovery. During the Identity process, I decided to concentrate more on the model sitting down rather than standing because I wanted the model to feel more relaxed. I’ve opted to present my identity fashion photos in a look book format because I basically believe that having digital copies will enable me to pull it up whenever I wanted, so that’s why I’m looking at examples of different templates ranging from modelling to fashion, which, contrary to common opinion, is why I’m looking at examples of different templates ranging from modelling to fashion.
