My conceptions weren’t clear at first as I wasn’t authentically sure what I wanted to do until I commenced to visually examine Artists, Photographers and Locations, so for my strategy / concept work I researched and explored the work from Ronen Goldman, and he inspired me to commence to work with light as I wanted to endeavour something incipient, so I commenced to move lights around the room pointing at the model. I had a range of conceptions for image overlays, Layers, textures so I commenced to optically canvass artists who visually examine how layers and textures can converge holistically. The reflections photoshoots were inordinately fascinating as you can utilize anything that has a shiny surface on them. So, I commenced use aftershaves as most of the aftershaves are composed of glass so that’s a positive point of utilizing bottles.
The difficulties I experienced was timing as during the circumstances with coronavirus, I have been able to keep the timing manageable throughout my photography. The time schedule has kept me in order. Other than that, I haven’t genuinely had models to photograph as my family members are not photogenic, so I had to do some self-portrait photoshoots for my work, and I’ve captured some photoshoots of a few friends in university which has been authentically intriguing as interacting with people at a distance and wearing masks is genuinely hard to communicate with others. Locations have been circumscribed for my photoshoots as I mundanely just grab my camera and head out pout due to the restrictions, I’m not capable of doing that, so I’ve been doing studio setup photoshoots at home. The equipment I’ve utilized for my photoshoots hasn’t affected my final outcome as I was still able to consummate the work I was aimed to do.
My goals behind the work were to try a wide variety of techniques in all my photo shoots, I wanted to be able to learn a lot of editing techniques, so the creative process was very fun because I was able to teach myself new editing techniques through the adobe photoshop programme. By researching several panellists, I have learned a lot about the extent and the size of the photographs, and I am inspired by how they work from portfolio layouts to being in a gallery.
My editing decisions, throughout the editing process I was more ingenious with working hand in hand especially with the format and layout type of work as I felt more connected to the work, as when endeavouring to work with textures in a software or programme I find it very vexing for me as I won’t be able to achieve what I opiate to fixate on, withal for most of my photographs I’ve captured don’t authentically need editing as for some photographs I am fixating on something else compared to other so for the reflections I’ve captured I’ve focused more onto the colours that’s been taken in the frame of the image and I commence to visually examine the Hue and saturation.
